Early morning your driver/guide will meet you at your hotel in Kampala and prepare yourself depart for Murchison falls National park (5-7 hours drive). En route via
Nakasongora district, tracking white rhinos on foot with rangers at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is one of the most important highlights of this trip. You will also have lunch at Ziwa.
Afterwards continue to the park via Karuma Bridge reaching your lodge late afternoon. You may have dinner and overnight at your lodge/ hotel
Early morning at around 06:45am after coffee and snacks, you will start the game drive safari along the buligi game tracks where with a ranger you may spot lions, leopard, elephants, buffaloes, Rothschild’s giraffes, hyena, and antelopes like Uganda kob, topi, and bushbucks. After this 3-4 hours game drive, you will return to the lodge for full breakfast and lunch. In the afternoon, head to Paara for a 3 hours boat cruise on the Nile. From the boat you can view the bottom of world’s powerful waterfall- Murchison falls and also spot hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, several birds like pied kingfisher, African fish eagle.
After breakfast, you will meet with your guide to take you on the small boat cruise to explore the Nile-Albert delta. This birding excursion may last for 3-5 hours depending on the luck of sighting the shoebill stork. Murchison falls is home to 451 birds most of which can be found in the delta swamp. In the afternoon we suggest visit the nearby local communities. You may undertake a cooking lesson by the Boom women’s group and also learn rural lifestyles. Drive back for dinner and overnight. An optional activity is a night game drive which gives you a chance to spot nocturnal animals like leopard, hyena, porcupine, and mongoose.
After breakfast, you will climb the hill to the top of Murchison falls. When it is still morning, the view is spectacular with a rainbow and mist. You will then drive back to Kampala.
